2023 Conference Itinerary

Check-In + Breakfast
8:00 - 9:00am
Signs will be placed outside to indicate available parking spots.
Name tags and a light breakfast will be available inside the Forum, where students can meet each other and the MHSC team.
Opening Ceremonies: Introductions + Keynote Speaker
9:00 - 10:00am
The Conference President and Chairs will introduce themselves and explain the conference’s mission and schedule.
The Conference President will introduce the keynote speaker, Dr. Pamela Allen, who is the Carl J. Herzog Chair in Dermatology and the Dermatology Residency Program Director at the OU College of Medicine.
Students will be able to ask Dr. Allen questions after her presentation.
Small Group Time 1
10:00 - 10:30am
Team leads will divide students into small groups, where they will introduce themselves and play ice-breaker games.
Workshop #1- Diagnose and Treat
10:35-11:25am
Students will work together throughout the workshop to diagnose and treat trial patients to learn more about common diseases and how to spot them!
Pre-Health Student Panel + Meet and Greet
11:30am
This is a great chance to ask questions to the students who are in the know about what it is like to be a pre-health student today!
Lunch
12:15pm
Lunch will be provided at the conference and dietary restrictions mentioned in the registration form will be catered to accordingly.
OU Pre-Health Student Organization + Involvement Fair
1:00pm
A variety of different organizations from OU will table during this fair, providing invaluable information about getting involved on campus as a pre-health student.
Break
1:45pm

Health Professional Student Panel+ Meet and Greet
1:55pm
Get a chance to ask Health professional students what its like to be in their last step before working in the healthcare field, as well as what it took to get there!
Break
2:40pm
Workshop #2- Grad Demonstrations and and Healthcare Stations
2:50pm
Get a feel for what several different healthcare fields are like!
Break
3:50pm
Workshop #3- Teamwork in Healthcare
4:00pm
We'll discuss the "What Color are You?" test and share why we think it's important, you'll leave the conference understanding what color you are in Healthcare and why.
Break
4:45pm
Closing Ceremony + Awards
5:00-6:00pm
We'll conclude the conference and give final remarks before we send you back home more prepared for your future than you were when you arrived.
